Description:

Butler County Special Education Interlocal is currently seeking a high Incidence secondary teacher for Circle High School in Towanda, KS.

The High School Special Education Teacher provides specially designed instruction to students with special needs to access their general education curriculum either in the regular education classroom or the special education classroom.

Essential Responsibilities

* Develop and implement IEPs aligned to academic, social/emotional, adaptive, and transition goals.

* Provide instruction in the above areas

* Implement positive behavior supports and individualized behavior plans.

* Collect data and monitor student progress toward IEP goals.

* Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families.

* Supervise and guide paraprofessionals within the classroom.

* Support community-based instruction and transition activities as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Kansas teaching license or willing to complete requirements for special ed waiver and licensure.
