Butler County Special Education Interlocal is currently seeking applications for K-12 interrelated teacher for Sunflower Virtual Academy in Augusta, KS.

The Special Education Teacher in the Virtual/Hybrid Program provides specially designed instruction and case management to students with disabilities in an online learning environment, with some in-person support as needed. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and advanced technology proficiency to support student engagement and compliance in a virtual setting.

Essential Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.

* Provide virtual instruction and individualized support aligned to IEP goals.

* Deliver in-person services, assessments, or meetings as required.

* Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring data, and service logs.

* Collaborate with families, general education teachers, and related service providers.

* Utilize learning management systems, virtual platforms, and digital tools effectively.

* Support process of entering walk-in special education paperwork

Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative special education services to students with disabilities both virtually or on-site at the school. Consult with parents on resources and strategies to use within the home setting.

Qualifications:

Kansas teaching license or willing to complete requirements for special ed waiver and licensure. Applicant will need to be tech savvy.
