Job Description:

This position will provide advanced office support and clerical work for the condemnation unit located within the Property Office. The primary responsibility for this position is to assist with organizing and condemning property for department projects according to the department's condemnation schedule.

Other duties include preparing and assembling legal documents and correspondence for the weekly condemnations. This includes the preparation of recordable legal documents, entering data into appropriate databases accurately and within a specified time period, preparation of property owner correspondence, and property acquisition payment processing.

This position will also assist the Title Office with title file maintenance and archiving.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates
1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of the principles and practices of office processes and administrative functions to perform complex secretarial support tasks, and
2) the ability to use independent judgment, initiative, and discretion to make determinations on varied matters. Plus:
Competency in applying a solid knowledge of legal terminology and legal practices to perform complex secretarial tasks.

All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of:
Secretary.
