This is a full-time on-site position located in Augusta; telework is not available for this role.

Are you an experienced accounting professional who is detail‑oriented and enjoys independent work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment? Do you possess a high degree of initiative? Then we are looking for you!

Core Responsibilities
  • Process child support payments by opening and reviewing daily mail; recording payments received from non‑custodial parents; performing accurate data entry and record retention; and disbursing funds to custodial parents in a timely manner in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Verify individual case information to determine public assistance enrollment status and calculate appropriate child support payment amounts in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Provide customer service and support to internal and external customers by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering accurate information in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes, resolve issues, and achieve department goals.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Training, education, and/or experience in office and administrative support functions demonstrating competency in applying accounting principles, reviewing and maintaining financial records, and using independent judgment to prioritize work for efficiency and operational needs.
  • Proven examples where initiative and attention to detail contributed to operational process improvements.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to business needs while balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding customer service skills coupled with a strong work ethic and the ability to excel while working with multiple stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Teamwork is critical for success in this position.
  • Proven ability to enter a considerable number of transactions yielding a high level of accuracy.
