Job Summary

As a Compliance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in overseeing the Maine General Health Compliance Program, supporting departments with expert guidance and ensuring alignment with federal and state regulations. Our team goes beyond problem‑solving; we empower departments with the tools and knowledge to succeed. This position is onsite at the Ballard Center in Augusta, offering a collaborative environment where great ideas happen.

• Act as a compliance resource, staying current on regulations and offering clear guidance.
• Audit clinical documentation and revenue cycle processes, recommending and monitoring corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver compliance education across all workforce levels.
• Research coding, billing, and documentation requirements to support departments.

• Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a commitment to process improvement.
• Strong research skills to find reliable sources to uncover information and answer stakeholder questions quickly and accurately.
• Even‑keeled manner, possess self‑awareness, and base decisions on analysis of fact.
• Background in a health system's Revenue Cycle operations is highly preferred.
• Moderate understanding of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
