Seeking Commercial Senior Project Superintendent for State of MaineA bit about us:

looking for qualified Senior project superintendents to be part of our team! We do projects of all sizes and complexity, such as educational, industrial, commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, and much more! We expect our superintendents to coordinate work onsite with subcontractors, plan for material deliveries, solve onsite issues with the help of the rest of the project team, complete daily logs and other documentation for project progress, hold subcontractor meetings, and lead all onsite project team to the completion of a successful project.

Superintendents must have strong communication skills, the ability to read and understand project plans, specifications, and other contract documents pertaining to the project, create a safe work environment by complying with OSHA standards and Our company safety policy, and finally, be organized and focused on the larger task at hand, as well as the details on a day-to-day basis.

We are on the hunt for a Permanent Commercial Project Superintendent to join our dynamic and innovative team.

This role involves managing commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Supervising and coordinating all construction activities related to assigned commercial projects.

Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Developing comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and other staff members.

Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

Liaising with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.

Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors.

Reviewing work progress on a daily basis and adjusting schedules and plans as needed.

Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Resolving any problems that may arise during construction.

Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Project Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.

Proven experience in commercial construction projects.

Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.

Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.

Understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.

Familiarity with construction/project management software.

Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

A team player with leadership abilities.

BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field.

PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
