Career Exploration Instructor

The CTE Career Exploration Instructor introduces students in 9th and 10th grades to foundational concepts and hands‑on experiences in the skilled trades. Instruction may include auto technology, carpentry, culinary arts, and business.

The Capital Area Technical Center (CATC) located in Augusta, Maine has an opening for a Career Exploration Instructor to begin August 2026.

Certified or eligible and willing to obtain Maine Department of Education certification (860)

- Career Exploration or Maine State certification 700-Industrial Arts

Teaching experience in one of the following areas:
Automotive Mechanics, Carpentry, Business or Culinary Arts preferred;
Teaching and supervisory experience preferred.

Must obtain Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) upon hire.

Per Contract

5 days/week, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
