Part‑Time Architecture Faculty
UMA is hiring a part‑time faculty member for the Bachelor of Architecture program to teach ARC 221:
Concepts of Structures starting in the Fall 2026 semester, with the possibility to teach additional classes. The position is located in‑person at the Augusta campus.
- Teach ARC 221:
Concepts of Structures, covering topics such as vectors, moment and shear calculations, stresses and strains in architectural structures, and mechanical design principles. - Develop and implement course materials, assessments, and instructional activities that support student learning.
- Use technology and innovative delivery methods to enhance instruction.
- A master’s degree or a professionally accredited degree, appropriate licensure, and professional experience in related fields.
- Professional experience with structural systems and their integration into architectural projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT).
- Registered Architect with experience in structural design.
- A capacity and interest to teach Structural Systems.
The salary is determined per credit hour and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
