Job Description:

This is technical services work in performing technical engineering support duties in a variety of field and office engineering specialties. Responsibilities may include preparing plans and estimates for bridge rehabilitation and preservation projects.

The incumbent may also review and approval of over limit permits to assure safe passage over and under bridges for extreme loading and dimensions. The incumbent may also perform safety inspections of bridges and minor spans. Work is performed under general supervision.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

Education, training, and/or experience in engineering, a technical field, or another related area demonstrating competency in reviewing technical plans, drafting diagrams and reports, collecting data, and analyzing datasets for trends.
