This is technical services work in performing technical engineering support duties in a variety of field and office engineering specialties.

• Preparing plans and estimates for bridge rehabilitation and preservation projects.
• Reviewing and approving over limit permits to assure safe passage over and under bridges for extreme loading and dimensions.
• Performing safety inspections of bridges and minor spans.

• Education, training, and/or experience in engineering, a technical field, or another related area demonstrating competency in reviewing technical plans, drafting diagrams and reports, collecting data, and analyzing datasets for trends.

• Retirement Plan – The State contributes the equivalent of 14.06% of the employee's pay towards the Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS).
