Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Approves written responses to Congressional, White House, and other special inquiries concerning VA benefits.
- Directs staffing, placement, assignment, and training of division personnel to manage division workflow/productivity.
- Directs program activities for the delivery of VA benefit programs for Veterans, their dependents, and beneficiaries.
- Exercises formal authority for the full range of division's personnel actions.
- Ensures proficient resource utilization and quality of work performed and services rendered; writes/establishes policies and procedures within division.
- Maintains the highest technical and professional authority to make final decisions in the types of claims considered most difficult or critical which commit the Federal Government to unusual liability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Promotion Potential:
This position is being selected at the full performance level.
Full time, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Hours to be determined by hiring office.
Compressed/Flexible:
Hours to be determined by hiring office.
Telework:
This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only. The selectee is required to report to the official duty station each scheduled workday. Telework may be approved only on a case-by-case basis with supervisory approval. Routine or recurring telework is not authorized for this position.

Relocation/Recruitment
Incentives:
Authorized Relocation expenses and services (Permanent Change of Station - PCS) are authorized. PCS covers the relocation of a household for government convenience when transferring between duty stations. By accepting PCS, the selectee agrees to remain in Federal service for 12 months after the move. Failure to complete the service period may require repayment of PCS expenses.
Financial Disclosure Report:
This position requires completion of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE-450) under 5 C.F.R. § (a). The selectee must submit the form before entering on duty and annually thereafter.
