This is professional services work in overseeing and providing comprehensive training, technical assistance and education for Maine’s Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) otherwise known as the Maine Local Roads Center (MLRC).
The position provides technical assistance and training to Maine’s municipal local road officials.
Typical Duties- Planning, developing, coordinating presenters and conducting workshops for local road officials.
- Providing daily technical assistance on many road subjects by phone or email.
- Developing specific computer programs and providing technical support for them.
- Assisting with writing and producing a statewide newsletter for local road officials in addition to our MLRC website occasionally participating in National, Regional, and local meetings and conferences concerning MLRC activities.
- An eight (8) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in planning and program development with specific background in specialized field as necessary (i.e. environmental planning, economic planning, historic preservation, etc.).
- 13 paid holidays.
