We are seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our children's ABA autism center. Salary starts at $75,000.
We work with children ages 2-5 that have been diagnosed with autism. The ideal candidate will provide specialized speech therapy services to children in both of our ABA centers- located in Augusta and Bangor. This will involve traveling between the centers.
This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in pediatric patients, with a focus on early intervention. The Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist will develop tailored treatment plans that support each child's unique needs.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment results,
- Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, and social communication.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust therapy strategies accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans.
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support speech development at home and in educational settings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatrics, early intervention techniques, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Prior experience working with children in pediatric or early intervention settings is highly preferred.
- Experience conducting patient assessments and developing effective treatment plans for children with speech or language disorders.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
