Position: CNA (Part-time, Days, Memory Care)

Schedule Details
  • 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 24 hours per week
  • Every other weekend rotation required

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Memory Care Village, Freedom Bay. This position plays a vital role in providing hands‑on, person‑centered care to Veterans living with dementia and other cognitive impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
  • Provide supportive, respectful care tailored to the unique needs of memory care residents
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ physical condition, behavior, or mood
  • Promote a safe, structured, and calm environment
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning in accordance with care plans
  • Support residents’ dignity, independence, and quality of life
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members

Requirements
  • Must be active and in good standing on the Maine CNA registry
  • Ability and willingness to work harmoniously and professionally with co‑workers, staff, supervisors, residents and their families
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
  • Basic computer skills
