This is a per-diem position.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our team, specializing in home infusion. This is a non-retail clinical pharmacist position; home infusion experience is not necessary. We will provide training to the right candidate. Some experience in sterile compounding is desired.

In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing clinical consultation, collaborating with healthcare providers, as well as ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinate patient admissions with the healthcare team, including physicians, pharmacists, home health agencies, and case managers.
  • Provide clinical consultation for I.V. therapies, dosage calculations, nutritional support, pharmacokinetics, and drug information as needed.
  • Support pharmacy technicians in medication preparation and dispensing.
  • Maintain quality assurance, controlled substance security, inventory control, hazardous waste disposal, and audit readiness.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support patient care needs.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree
  • Current Maine Registered Pharmacist License
