This is a full-time position located in Augusta and allows for partial telework with management approval.

Currently, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions.

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensure that appropriate services are provided to adults with Brain Injuries and approve individual service plans;

• Assure members for the Sections 18 waiver program meet the requisite level of care;

• Review and act upon prior authorization requests;

• Collaborate with service providers to assist with overcoming identified problems;

• Review/analyze documents such as care plans, case plans, behavior plans; discuss and document progress and difficulties with the individual and their team; and

• Monitors service settings to ensure compliance with HCBS (Home and Community Based Standards).

The successful applicant needs to possess or quickly develop knowledge of applicable Maine Care policy. He or she will demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and customer service skills. He or she will exhibit excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with varied stakeholder groups.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field and one (1) year experience in developmental disabilities or a directly related human services field, OR a Bachelor's Degree Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field and at least four (4) years' experience in developmental disabilities or a directly related human services field.

Experience cannot be substituted for education requirement in this classification.
