This role focuses on supporting children and families in building real life skills that help them succeed at home, in school, and in their communities. Description What You’ll Do

As a Behavioral Health Professional, you will work directly with children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges. Services are provided in homes, and community settings under Maine Care Section 28.

Your work will focus on helping children build skills such as:

  • Communication and social skills
  • Positive behavior and coping strategies
  • Daily living and problem solving skills
  • Healthy relationships and community engagement

You will work closely with caregivers and the treatment team to help children practice these skills in their everyday environments.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who are patient, reliable, and passionate about helping children grow.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience working with children or adolescents
  • Background in mental health, education, social services, or childcare
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • At least one year of experience working with children or families is helpful
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass required background checks
