Turn your passion for mobility into meaningful rural healthcare impact as a Licensed Physical Therapist at a trusted critical access hospital in beautiful northeastern Maine!

This Registered Physical Therapist will join a mission-driven, patient-first healthcare organization known for compassionate care, clinical safety, personalized service, and strong community support. The hospital offers broad clinical exposure, close collaboration with providers, and the opportunity to make a measurable difference in patients’ recovery and independence. With accessible leadership, interdisciplinary teamwork, evidence-based practice, and a stable role in an essential regional healthcare network, this position provides an engaging environment for professional growth.

The Clinical Physical Therapist will become an integral member of the Physical Therapy and Rehab team at a hospital that is a 25-bed acute care facility that functions as a critical access provider in northern Maine. This setting offers the variety and autonomy of rural rehabilitation practice, including opportunities to assess mobility, develop individualized treatment plans, support safe discharge planning, educate patients and families, and help patients regain strength, function, and confidence.

Reporting to rehabilitation leadership, the Inpatient Physical Therapist will receive support from experienced clinical leaders, friendly nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, case managers, occupational therapy professionals, and a diverse healthcare team. Responsibilities include performing evaluations, delivering evidence-based treatment, documenting patient progress, coordinating transitions of care, promoting fall prevention, and contributing to quality and safety initiatives. The collaborative structure encourages independent clinical judgment while ensuring dependable interdisciplinary support.

A Licensed Physical Therapist relocating to northeastern Maine can enjoy a peaceful lifestyle surrounded by forests, lakes, rivers, and expansive outdoor recreation. The region is ideal for hiking, fishing, paddling, camping, snowmobiling, skiing, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives, while welcoming communities offer local festivals, regional cuisine, family-friendly schools, parks, everyday amenities, and a strong sense of connection. Affordable housing options, manageable commutes, lower population density, clean air, four distinct seasons, pet-friendly spaces, and convenient access to the Canadian border create an appealing balance of privacy, nature, and community life.

This Registered Physical Therapist opportunity includes competitive compensation and a full suite of health and retirement benefits designed to support long-term wellbeing and financial security.
