In this role, you will work closely with our internal partners, helping them make sense of the data received from clients, and analyzing the data to create standard and custom reports as required by internal and external customers. As a core member of the project teams, you will identify and implement process improvements in the data analysis lifecycle. This position is ideal for someone who has the right mix of data analysis, curiosity, and communication skills to delight customers with thoughtful analyses, insights, and visualizations.

You

will:
  • Gather business requirements.
  • Understand Datavant’s business, products and data stores.
  • Gather requirements from clients around data analysis.
  • Work with customer success managers (CSMs) to review and validate data analysis requirements.
  • Perform data manipulation and analysis.
  • Identify the best sources of primary or secondary data to satisfy business requirements.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams (analytics, data integrations, engineering) to collect and transform data.
  • Review active project metrics with CSMs to determine if forecasted outcomes are in alignment with expectations.
  • Communicate insights.
  • Use business intelligence tools to create reports and visualizations that communicate results of data analysis.
  • Combine data from multiple sources and business logic to create standard and custom output reports for delivery.
  • Present and explain analytical problems, approaches, results, and recommendations.
  • Improve processes by revising report methodologies, analyzing end results, developing scripts to automate analyses, and overseeing implementation of approved process improvements.
  • Demonstrate initiative and focus by adapting in a rapidly changing environment, maintaining a high degree of customer service focus, and being a results‑oriented team player.
What you will bring to the table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Services, Economics or equivalent field required.
  • 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience in business intelligence and analytics, with technical knowledge of BI techniques and tools such as Sigma BI, Power BI or Looker.
  • Experience conducting data analysis in SQL and Excel, and a scripting language such as Python, R, or SAS.
  • Strong communication skills to relay complex data analysis requirements to team members and customers.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently, applying critical thinking and problem‑solving to achieve positive outcomes.
Bonus points if:
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience and familiarity with MA, ACA and Medicaid Risk Adjustment models.
  • Experience with other business intelligence backend and analytics applications.
  • Familiarity with or interest in learning Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow for data ETL, pipelines, and intermediate engineering work.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is $104,000—$130,000 USD.
