Desktop & Windows Support Specialists – Hybrid Worksite Schedule
Pay Rate: $24–$25 per hour
Schedule: Day Shift – 2 Schedule Options
Assignment Length: Anticipated 6+ Month Contract
Our client is currently looking for two Desktop & Windows Support Specialists to join their hybrid operations team supporting staff statewide. These positions pay $24–$25 per hour and are anticipated to run 6+ months.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical troubleshooting skills to step into a full-time, long-term hybrid role, gain valuable professional contacts, and support end users across Maine using modern remote support technologies.
These positions do require being in-office one day per week in Augusta.
Typical daily duties:- Providing desktop computer support, including remote troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Installing application updates and resolving operating system update failures
- Uninstalling, repairing, and updating software and operating systems
- Removing unsupported or vulnerable software from user systems
- Documenting all work for quality standards and future reference
- 2–3 years of recent desktop support experience
- Experience with IBM mainframe and standard hardware/software troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with users remotely
- Degree in a related field preferred
