An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join a pioneering organisation based in Oxford, working on a hybrid basis.
This is a hands‑on role focused around secure development, application security and strengthening security across a growing cloud‑based technology environment. Working closely with the CIO and development teams, the Senior Cyber Security Engineer will help improve secure coding practices, cloud security, vulnerability management and wider cyber resilience across the business.
The company delivers cloud‑based technology solutions used across multiple industries and continues to experience strong international growth. This role offers excellent long‑term progression towards broader cyber security leadership responsibilities as the business continues to scale.
What’s required of the Senior Cyber Security Engineer?- Proven experience within hands‑on Cyber Security Engineering, Application Security or Dev Sec Ops roles
- Strong understanding of secure coding principles and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices
- Experience working closely with software engineering/development teams
- Strong cloud security knowledge across AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing or application security testing
- Good knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO
27001, NIST and ideally exposure to NIS2 - Any experience with compliance frameworks such as CMMC, DORA or DISP would be highly advantageous
- Previous experience within SaaS, software engineering or product‑led environments would be highly sought after
