Senior Product Manager, Data Platform

Role Overview

You will be the dedicated product partner for the Data Platform team and its initiatives across Datavant, focusing on integrating AI/ML capabilities into products and owning AI/ML technology assets end‑to‑end.

• Drive adoption and impact: Work closely with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams across the organization to integrate AI/ML capabilities, drive adoption, and ensure value realization.
• Be customer‑focused: Identify and solve high‑value problems for internal stakeholders, collaborating closely with Engineering teams to define, develop, and ship impactful abstractions, features, and platforms that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Define product requirements: Translate complex business needs and data science possibilities into clear, concise, and motivating requirements; guide the iterative development of robust and scalable solutions.
• Be a leader: Foster a collaborative environment between Product, Data Science, and Engineering.
• Operate like an owner: Take ownership of the success of data science products and platforms, from ideation through development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

• Experience: 5+ years in product management, product strategy, or engineering focused on data engineering, data infrastructure, or business intelligence products; ideally in a healthcare or similar industry with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.
• Technical acumen: Comfortable diving into code and technical details, leading whiteboard sessions, reviewing code on Git Hub, or spinning up Docker environments as needed.

You know data at scale: experienced managing data infrastructure, modeling, contracts, cost, and access at scale, and navigating technical and organizational challenges.

• Strong work ethic: High‑speed, highly productive, and consistently driven to deliver results.
• Highly organized: Demonstrated project management expertise and ownership.
• Excellent communication: Write clear documentation, presentations, diagrams, and mockups; lead planning meetings confidently.
• Proactive and team‑player: Define product evolution and act decisively; align with colleagues and stakeholders.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is: $170,000—$190,000 USD.
