Position
Desktop Support Technician
Duration1 Year
LocationAugusta, Maine (Hybrid – majority remote; local candidates within an hour radius of Augusta preferred)
Special RequirementTravel to pick up and drop off equipment on occasion. Mileage reimbursed when using a personal vehicle; state vehicle mileage not reimbursed.
Responsibilities- Provide desktop computer support.
- Install application updates.
- Troubleshoot and remediate operating system update failures.
- Remove unsupported or vulnerable software from end users’ computers.
- Document all work for future reference.
- Follow quality standards.
- Understand installation of software patches and upgrades.
- Understand use of remote technology and commands.
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
- Attend and participate in team meetings.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Windows operating systems and product knowledge.
