Cybersecurity Program Coordinator
Join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing cybersecurity capabilities across government agencies, election infrastructure, and public sector stakeholders. This role offers an opportunity to lead strategic initiatives, coordinate multi-stakeholder efforts, and develop long-term cybersecurity strategies in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity outreach initiatives, ensuring alignment across local governments, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for cybersecurity education, training, and outreach services.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity outreach strategies to improve awareness and resilience.
- Create educational materials and cybersecurity resources tailored for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify cybersecurity capability gaps within local governments and recommend practical solutions, including grant-funded and vendor-supported initiatives.
- Collaborate with election officials and state agencies to strengthen election system security, aligning efforts with CISA and EI-ISAC guidance.
- Build and maintain partnerships with federal agencies, industry groups, and community organizations to support cybersecurity initiatives.
- Support strategic planning to enhance statewide cybersecurity readiness and resilience.
- Develop project plans, schedules, reports, and manage priorities independently.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure initiatives meet organizational objectives.
- Promote cybersecurity best practices through education, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, strategic planning, or program coordination.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs or projects.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship-building, and outreach skills.
- Knowledge of vendor management, procurement, contract negotiation, and performance oversight.
- Experience developing cybersecurity awareness, education, or outreach programs.
- Familiarity with election security principles, including protection of election infrastructure and coordination with election officials, CISA, and EI-ISAC.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess cybersecurity maturity and identify improvement opportunities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with government agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal cybersecurity programs or managing federal grants.
- Prior work within state or local government environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or related field.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, GSEC, or PMP.
