We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic IT professional who enjoys problem-solving, delivering high-quality technical support, and working with a diverse user base in a dynamic environment.

The Role

As an IT Support Officer, you will provide first- and second-line technical support across a predominantly Microsoft Windows environment. You will play a key role in ensuring staff and users receive timely and effective assistance with a wide range of IT issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver first- and second-line IT support to end users.
  • Provide support for hardware, software, audio-visual equipment, printers, and user accounts.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and standard service requests while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of departmental standards for end-user computing.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex software and system issues.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and support engineers to resolve technical problems.
  • Work closely with colleagues to support teaching technologies and audio-visual systems.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies relating to data security, data protection, and acceptable IT usage.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience working within an IT Support team in a corporate, educational, or professional environment.
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues relating to Windows operating systems, hardware, and software.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop environments.
  • A genuine interest in technology and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
