Job Description & How to Apply Below

IDEXX Dev Ops contributes to the success of IDEXX employees and customers by providing scalable, innovative solutions and technical leadership. As part of a global Information Technology organization, our Dev Ops engineers are embedded with product teams — enabling fast, reliable delivery of the software that helps veterinary professionals around the world deliver exceptional care.

Vet Connect PLUS is IDEXX’s platform to deliver veterinary practices a single, unified view of diagnostic results across in‑house analyzers and reference laboratories — trusted by practices around the world to inform patient care every day.

As a Principal Dev Ops Engineer II
, you bring deep technical ownership to the systems that power Vet Connect PLUS — shaping the direction of its AWS and GCP infrastructure, Git Hub Actions pipelines, and Datadog observability alongside a close‑knit agile team. You lead from within the team: writing production infrastructure code, mentoring engineers, driving technical decisions, and solving the most complex delivery and reliability challenges. You are the go‑to person for the hardest problems, the most ambiguous requirements, and the broadest operational questions — and you make the engineers around you better in the process.

Beyond your embedded role, you lead the DXSE Dev Ops Squad — a group of 3–4 senior Dev Ops engineers embedded across Diagnostic Software Engineering teams — blending hands‑on engineering with squad leadership, coaching, and organisational influence. You set the standard for how Dev Ops is done in DXSE and champion a culture where developers and testers own their operational footprint — you accelerate their capability, not replace it.
