Retail & Store Manager, Operations Management
Compensation and Pay Range: $15.10 - $19.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly bonuses, premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
- Assist store manager in sales, appearance, and overall store operations.
- Receive hands‑on training preparing for a management position in another store or future location.
- Supervise professional and retail operations of the store and team members.
- Supervise delivery and installer service specialists (professional) and parts and merchandising specialists (retail).
- Work jointly with district manager and store manager in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging team members.
- Communicate information from Team Weekly and monthly store manager meetings to all team members.
- Train new team members assigned to the store.
- Handle team member performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
- Assist in the hiring process: complete recruiting tasks, schedule and participate in interviews, evaluate candidates, and collaborate with management.
- Support store manager by ensuring safety compliance and providing appropriate training in all areas.
- Monitor and reinforce safety expectations.
- Make sales calls with or without store manager; may be assigned a schedule for making weekly customer calls.
- Assist in store operations as assigned.
- Maintain delivery fleet and records for each vehicle.
- Ensure the store/HUB remains neat, clean, and organized at all times.
- Electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll.
- Manage key components of gross profit; monitor professional customer returns.
- Review competitive price matches and price overrides for proper use.
- Review individual team member productivity and KPI dashboard daily.
- Review monthly P&L statement with store manager and discuss opportunities for improvement.
- High School Diploma required.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
- Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.
- O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience (desired).
- Completed O’Reilly management training program (desired).
- Advanced computer skills (desired).
- ASE Certification (desired).
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish (desired).
