Location DescriptionThe Mars Hill, Maine facility is part of Pineland Farms, one of the largest food manufacturing organizations in Aroostook County. The facility employs over 200 team members who produce high‑quality potato products.
ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:
- Set‑up, operate, and disassemble equipment used in production.
- Load, unload, package, and transport materials, finished goods, and pallets.
- Perform tasks in production and sanitation as directed by the plant supervisor.
- Adhere to safety work rules and promote safety as a core value.
- Adhere to GMP during production, sanitation, and material handling.
- Maintain and adjust equipment to control designated weights.
- Meet production performance requirements in a fast‑paced environment.
- Transfer finished products and raw materials to specified locations.
- Wear PPE as prescribed for each activity.
- Perform CCP checks as needed.
- Follow SQF principles as required.
- Report food safety and human safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Apply good judgement and understanding to follow detailed instructions.
- Communicate production issues, counts, and weights to supervision or lead personnel.
- Deal with problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of GMP and safe food manufacturing practices is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least two years of industrial equipment or food manufacturing experience.
- Forklift/Pallet Jack certification is a plus.

Physical DemandsEmployees are regularly required to sit and talk or hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, climb, balance, and perform tasks that involve lifting up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work EnvironmentEmployees are exposed to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, electrical shock and vibration risks, and loud noise levels.
