Position Summary
The Advanced Specialist is responsible for turning global and regional marketing strategy into market-ready activation that drives commercial impact for the Higher Education portfolio. This includes campaign-anchored activation, customer-facing toolkits, sales enablement, and events that help field teams engage customers effectively across key buying moments.
Working as part of the Geo Marketing team, this role focuses on delivery and execution — owning defined initiatives, products, or moments within the region. The Advanced Specialist partners closely with regional sales, campaign, product marketing, digital, and local market teams to ensure messaging, positioning, and value propositions show up consistently in every external-facing touchpoint.
Success in this role comes from strong executional judgement, commercial curiosity, and the ability to move from strategy to action with speed and clarity. The role, will be comfortable working across a matrix, using data and voice-of-market feedback to optimise activation, and equipping customer-facing teams with tools that make selling easier and customer conversations better. The Advanced Specialist is also expected to raise the quality of work around them by guiding more junior team members, sharing best practices, and acting as a go-to partner on activation within their area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities Activation Planning & Execution- Own activation planning and execution for high-priority campaigns, launches, products, segments, or buying moments across assigned scope.
- Translate global and regional marketing strategy into clear activation plans, delivery priorities, and market-ready execution.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders across campaign, product marketing, digital, sales, and local market teams to ensure activation lands with clarity and consistency.
- Make informed trade-offs across timelines, dependencies, and resources, proactively managing complexity and driving momentum across multiple work streams.
- Develop and evolve sales enablement tools, narratives, and commercial support materials that improve seller readiness across priority markets, products, or campaigns.
- Equip sales teams with messaging, objection handling, competitive context, and consultative conversation tools that strengthen field confidence and customer engagement.
- Partner with sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify readiness gaps, prioritise enablement needs, and shape support for key commercial moments.
- Support onboarding and readiness programmes for frontline teams, ensuring new propositions, campaigns, and strategic priorities are translated into practical field adoption.
- Monitor usage, feedback, and adoption signals to improve enablement effectiveness, raise asset quality, and strengthen commercial impact over time.
- Own the development and evolution of customer-facing toolkits that support activation across assigned initiatives, products, or segments.
- Ensure toolkits clearly articulate value, differentiation, outcomes, and guidance for effective use across priority audiences and selling contexts.
- Maintain a high standard of quality, consistency, and usability across activation assets, with a clear view of how they support field execution.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen toolkit effectiveness and recommend or implement improvements based on market needs and performance insight.
- Lead the planning and delivery of customer-led events, webinars, and engagement programmes aligned to campaign and commercial priorities.
- Shape event themes, content, speaker narratives, and engagement approach in partnership with Product Marketing, Events, Sales, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure events are designed and delivered to create clear customer value, support market positioning, and strengthen commercial outcomes.
- Track post-event engagement, follow-up actions, and performance signals, using insight to improve future activation and event strategy.
- Capture and interpret insights from customer interactions, events, field use, and activation activity across assigned scope.
- Translate market signals, objections, competitor movement, and asset performance into actionable recommendations for messaging, positioning, and execution.
- Contribute a strong execution-level market perspective into planning, retrospectives, and optimisation discussions.
- Use insight not only to improve current activation, but to shape future approaches across campaigns, products, or market segments.
- Define and monitor success measures for activation effectiveness, enablement adoption, and campaign impact in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Assess the performance of assigned assets, toolkits, and events using usage data, engagement trends, market response, and early commercial indicators.
