Job Title
This senior-level position within the Office of Tourism is responsible for developing and implementing highly effective integrated marketing campaigns and research programs to promote Maine as a travel destination in key domestic and international markets.
Representative tasks include overseeing day-to-day coordination with the Office of Tourism's full-service marketing and PR agencies, managing contracts and deliverables for market research, fulfillment, PR and advertising programs, and overseeing research and data analysis to assure marketing research projects are aligned with strategic direction.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include knowledge of economic development principles and tourism market dynamics, ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written & verbal communications, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Minimum qualifications include a combination of nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience, education, and training in advertising, public relations, hospitality management, or destination marketing. A degree in marketing, business administration, hospitality management or communications is highly desirable.
