Community Led Needs Assessment (CLNA) Program Coordinator

Position Summary

The Coordinator supports Hand in Hand / Mano en Mano’s mission to ensure that all immigrants and farm workers have access to resources. This position oversees project timelines, community engagement activities, advisory and coordinating council facilitation, data collection processes, and compliance with grant deliverables.

The Coordinator ensures that immigrant, refugee, and migrant communities are meaningfully engaged and that all activities are conducted in a culturally responsive, ethical, and equitable manner. This position informs Mano en Mano’s work and plays a leadership role in supporting Haitian and/or Latinx farm workers in Downeast Maine. The Coordinator upholds Mano en Mano’s racial justice values and philosophy, which guide how we support immigrants and farm workers, including through the Welcome & Resource Centers.

Outreach activities take place statewide, with a strong focus on Washington and Hancock Counties during seasonal agricultural work cycles.

• Access to Essential Services and Social Supports: Immigrants and farm workers’ agency is uplifted in the process of meeting needs and increasing access to wraparound social support services, including participation in community surveys.
  • Community members’ agency is centered in the process of meeting their needs. Individuals and families are supported in equitably accessing health and wellness services.

• Track milestones and deliverables aligned with the DHHS CLNA Implementation Plan.
• Coordinate with partners, consultants (including WPHW), and state representatives to ensure timely approvals and reporting.
• Provide administrative oversight for project documentation, consent forms, and compliance with grant requirements.

• Welcome and celebrate Immigrants and farm workers to this area. Center their humanity/culture, for example, via verbal welcomes in multiple languages, signage, music or homemade meals on site or at housing locations.
• Support resources (clothing, food, etc.) and/or services (health care, legal advice, etc.) at the office or work sites of workers and families.
• Build trust and reciprocal relationships over time. Maintain confidentiality.
• Understands how health and overall well being is tied to housing, food, immigration status, employment, education, etc.
• Facilitate the distribution of resources directly to workers/families. Putting together food boxes with other resources and materials.
• Provide interpretation for community members, partner organizations and/or volunteers that support workers and families in meeting their needs.
• Connect with community members consistently, in the way they prefer (in person at a distance, phone call, whatsapp messaging, etc.) Share community level health education, resources, etc.
• Feedback is brought to the team and, with consent, to appropriate local organizations, institutions, etc. Community feedback is integrated at all levels of programming.

• Support the development, piloting, and dissemination of focus groups.
• The Coordinator will administer a questionnaire survey to farm workers, ensuring accurate data collection across multiple areas.
• Ensure all data collection follows confidentiality, consent, and de-identification protocols.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of participant information and all collected data in accordance with organizational and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with partners to review draft reports and provide feedback.
• Support the dissemination of findings through community forums, public presentations, digital platforms, and written reports.
