Job DescriptionThe role is a Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) on Terrace West—a newer 26‑bed med/surg unit focused on cardiac and medical patients. It is a 36‑hour per week, day‑shift (7a.m.–7p.m.) position with three 12‑hour shifts, inclusive of weekend and holiday rotation.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support for spiritual/psychosocial needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families, providing education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Delegate patient care to ancillary personnel effectively, and precept student nurses and new hires as needed.
- Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or ability to obtain it in a timely fashion.
- At least one year of RN experience (strongly preferred).
