Hospitalist APP

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a physician, the APP Hospitalist provides direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health‑care services to patients in an inpatient setting.

• Full‑time Board‑Certified APP Hospitalist (PA or NP)
• Location:
  
  Maine General Medical Center, 198‑bed facility, Augusta, Maine
• Shift options: 14 12‑hour day shifts or 10‑hour swing shifts per month with flexible scheduling
• Team:
  Adult Hospitalists and Pediatric Hospitalists dedicated to quality patient care
• Opportunities to precept APP students and Fellows

• Provide direct patient care and management for inpatient admissions
• Perform diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic interventions under physician supervision
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical documentation

• Board‑Certified APP Hospitalist (PA or NP)
• Minimum one year of full‑time hospitalist or comparable inpatient experience
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision‑making abilities
• Ability to work flexible schedules and manage a varied inpatient caseload
