Position: Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) - 30 hrs/wk, 7a-7p

Job Summary

Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) – Provide direct patient care to critically ill adult patients at the Alfond Center for Health, Augusta. 30hour per week day shift (7a.m.–7p.m.) with required weekend and holiday rotations.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment and nursing process.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support as needed.
  • Identify and address patient and family learning needs; provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Delegate patient care to ancillary personnel effectively.
  • Precept student nurses and new hires as required.
Qualifications
  • Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain within a timely fashion.
  • Minimum 1year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
  • Prior or recent experience in a critical care unit preferred.
  • Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS, MOAB preferred.
