Job Summary

Maine General Health is a comprehensive non‑profit system dedicated to enhancing the health of patients, families, and communities. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our Med/Surg floor, 2 West, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, Maine.

The CNA will provide patient care under the supervision of an RN, following applicable scope, standards of practice, and organizational policies, values, and mission.

This is a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated CNA to join a team of highly skilled professionals. The position is 36 hours per week: three 12‑hour day shifts (6:45am–7:15pm) with week‑end and holiday rotation required.

• Perform basic patient care activities within scope of practice.
• Assist patients with meeting emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Greet patients and visitors.
• Answer, screen, and route telephone calls.
• Call codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.

• A valid CNA certificate from the State of Maine.
