TheOpportunity
We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team as a Lead Provider. In this role you will provide exceptional patient care and serve as the clinical leader for all clinical staff, mentoring new‑grad providers and allied health professionals.
Your Impact- Provide Patient‑Centered Care:
- Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short‑ and long‑term patient needs.
- Determine abnormal conditions by ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as x‑rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies.
- Perform therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, wound and infection management.
- Educate and counsel patients on health, therapeutic regimens, growth and development, family planning, and wellness.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare clear, complete, accurate, and legible medical records; electronically sign all notes and reports using EMR.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with company and state regulations.
- Adhere to infection‑control policies and protocols.
- Keep current on legal and professional requirements, advising management of necessary actions.
- Collaborate with a Team: Work collaboratively with other providers and health‑care practitioners to efficiently treat patients and plan coordinated dispositions.
- Act as a clinic leader, especially when the Practice Manager is not in‑clinic; provide support and mentorship to new‑graduate providers and other clinic staff.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies.
- Act as a preceptor to new provider staff, offering educational opportunities and experiential growth.
- Education, Licensure & Certifications
- Master’s degree and certification by a Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body.
- DEA license with no restrictions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (no CPR, ACLS, or online‑only classes).
- Relevant Experience – Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care settings is preferred.
- Strong Leadership Skills – Willing and able to mentor both provider and non‑provider clinic staff.
- Excellent Team Player – Enjoy collaborating with others and being part of a strong team dynamic.
- Proactive and Confident Communicator – Able to raise and address concerns directly with colleagues and patients.
- Compassionate, Authentic, and Patient‑Focused – Provide kindness and understanding, fostering a community of belonging.
- Technically Savvy – Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and clinical management systems (EMR).
- Strong Knowledge of
- Customer and personal services principles and processes, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation.
- Applicable federal, state, and local laws, including HIPAA, OSHA, and related regulations.
- Pharmaceuticals, drug properties, and non‑pharmaceutical patient care aids.
- Current medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment principles and procedures.
- Collaborative team environment that encourages professional growth.
