Maine General is offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for Med/Surg RN hires who accept a 30+ hour position on any shift!

To be eligible for the bonus, applicants must have previous RN work experience. New hires within 1 year are not eligible.

Please indicate shift and unit preference on your application:

• 1 West is a 36 bed unit with a focus on cardiac, stroke, and higher-acuity medical patients.
• 2 West is a 36 bed unit with a focus on med/surg & oncology care.
• 3 West is a 36 bed unit with a focus on post-surgical & high-acuity patients.
• Terrace West is a new 14 bed unit with a focus on cardiac and medical patients.

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
