Aiken Regional Medical Centers, a comprehensive healthcare provider serving the Aiken, South Carolina community, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse patient population across a variety of clinical settings, including emergency, surgical, medical-surgical, mental health, and rehabilitation services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will perform thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document all aspects of care accurately in the electronic health record.
The Registered Nurse will collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care, promote optimal patient outcomes, and ensure a seamless patient experience. You will provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions, helping them make informed decisions about their health. You will uphold rigorous standards of infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement, actively participating in unit-based initiatives and following all hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best-practice guidelines.
Working within Aiken Regional’s supportive and compassionate culture, you will be encouraged to grow professionally, contribute ideas to improve patient care, and participate in continuing education and specialty training relevant to your unit. You will use strong critical-thinking and prioritization skills to respond to changes in patient condition, elevate concerns appropriately, and intervene in emergencies, including performing basic and advanced life support measures within your scope of practice.
This position requires effective communication, respect for diverse backgrounds, and a commitment to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.
