Introduction
We are looking for a qualified ICU Burns Registered Nurse to join Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare. This role provides nurses with a supportive environment to make a significant impact on patients with burn injuries.
Job SummaryAs a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN), you will care for patients with a range of burn injuries, providing expert nursing, pain management, wound care, and education. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and their families throughout recovery.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey.
- Perform expert procedures and medication administration— including pain relief and fluid therapy— delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses, and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort.
- Educate and support patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient‑centered care tailored to each individual's needs.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS)—must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)—must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Sign‑on bonus of up to $10,000.
