Position: Registered Nurse (RN)- MICU- Augusta- PT

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality nursing services by working with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients' care while creating a positive, supportive environment.
  • Act as the front‑line representative and intermediary among patients, families, providers, and other care team members.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and uphold confidentiality, safety, and professional standards.
  • Support shared governance through service on councils or other sponsored activities.
  • Develop and implement the patient care plan, taking appropriate actions to promote the patient’s short‑ and long‑term outcomes and wellbeing.
  • Deliver care as outlined, using independent judgment where appropriate, and communicate patient care plans with other staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessment, changes in condition, care delivered, education provided, and any incidents or exceptions related to standards of care or compliance with hospital policy.
  • Serve as an educational resource for patients and families on health‑related issues, fostering patient‑ and family‑centered care and promoting satisfaction among patients, families, staff, and physicians.
  • Provide input into the plan of care by reporting pertinent information involving the patient and family to the care team.
  • Contribute ideas to identify solutions and support the implementation of changes aligned with better patient quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and organizational financial performance.
  • Self‑identify and manage training and development opportunities.
  • Foster the growth and development of other nurses through mentorship, positively promote the nursing profession, and assist with recruitment of nurses to Wellstar Health System.
  • Comply with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and the code of conduct.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s, diploma, or bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Current RN license: RN‑Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT (Multi‑state Compact).
