Job Summary

Position:
Hospital Nurse III at Riverview Psychiatric Center (RPC) located in Augusta, Maine. Salary range: $37.38-$47.10 per hour (inclusive of stipends and shift differentials). This is a full‑time, non‑visa‑sponsored position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and apply nursing principles, practices, and techniques in the care and custody of hospital patients who are emotionally, mentally, and/or physically ill.
  • Plan, develop, and implement treatment plans for patients upon identification of problems, establishing individualized goals and providing treatment to meet those goals.
  • Instruct direct‑care staff in nursing procedures and techniques to ensure safe and therapeutic care.
  • Administer and monitor the effects of medications for hospitalized patients.
  • Provide coverage for the Nurse Supervisor’s office when assigned.
  • Work under limited supervision and maintain professional communication with staff and community providers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field and at least two (2) years of professional nursing experience, OR graduation from an accredited school of nursing and at least three (3) years of professional nursing experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience overseeing and providing medical and/or psychiatric nursing care in a hospital facility.
Licensing Requirements

Registered Nurse license issued by the Maine State Board of Nursing.
