Job Summary
Registered Nurses play a central role in patient care. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Intensive Care setting within the scope of practice for the relevant state and specialty. The RN collaborates with medical providers and the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in accordance with department protocols and nursing standards.
- Perform procedures, monitor patient status, and follow provider orders.
- Document administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and accurately.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and side effects.
- Translate complex medical terminology and promote understanding.
- Teach non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention.
- Prepare patients and families for future self‑management.
- Lead and implement evidence‑based practices and continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed quality measures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver holistic treatment plans that support patient recovery.
- RN credential (bachelor's or associate degree required).
- Critical care experience preferred.
- Night shift applicants only.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
