Overview
Gentiva is searching for a Registered Nurse (RN) Director Hospice to head operations at a hospice location. This role demands a licensed RN with proven leadership in hospice or home‑care settings, a patient‑centered approach, and a focus on high quality, compassionate care.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the assigned hospice location.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations, including the interdisciplinary team, compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, and the delivery of patient‑centred care.
- Lead financial performance: budget development, cost control, review of expenditures, and resource planning.
- Oversee human resources: hiring, training, performance evaluation, and workforce planning.
- Supervise office operations, contract management, and quality assurance, including incident reporting and safety protocols.
- Build and maintain relationships with the governing body, referral partners, and the community.
- Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
- Registered Nurse with a minimum associate’s degree in nursing (BSN preferred).
- Minimum of one year management or supervisory experience; two or more years in hospice or home‑care required.
- Three to five years of healthcare sales/management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare conditions of participation, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage interdisciplinary teams, budgets, and operational performance.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Current nursing license in the state of employment.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance (if required).
Salary Range – $110,000 to $125,000, plus a target 20% annual bonus paid quarterly based on key metrics and other financial incentives.
