Job DescriptionWe are now accepting applications from Fall/Winter Nursing Graduates! The SHINE New Graduate Nurse (RN) Residency – Med/Surg is the largest program of its kind in the state, designed to bolster your success as an integral part of our clinical team. An early acceptance incentive of $4,000 awaits qualified SHINE candidates. Candidates must apply at least 6 weeks before their graduation date, and the offer letter must be signed within 1 week of receipt.
The incentive is paid in full in your first paycheck as an RN.
- The med/surg clinical track involves a comprehensive 12‑week orientation across various med/surg units, guided by high‑performing preceptors.
- After completion, nurse residents may join the float pool or transition to a unit that feels like home.
- The year‑long program includes commitments to clinical training, classroom sessions, and online learning, all aimed at strengthening the nursing practice and success of the New Grad RN.
- Expected graduation from an accredited Nursing school in the Fall/Winter of 2026/2027 or less than 6 months of RN experience.
- Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or the ability to obtain it after passing the NCLEX, required.
