Job Summary

RoleRegistered Nurse (RN) on a 36‑bed Med/Surg unit (Unit 1 West) focused on cardiac, stroke, and high‑acuity medical patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in accordance with scope and standard of practice and the organization’s policies, values, and mission.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize resources.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and families and deliver education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel.
- Precept student nurses and new hires as necessary.
- Maine state licensure as an RN or ability to obtain one in a timely manner.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
36‑hour night shift schedule (7p.m.–7a.m.), three 12‑hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
Early Acceptance Incentive: $4,000 for nursing students who apply at least six weeks before graduation and sign within one week.
