Job Summary

Maine General Health is a comprehensive non‑profit system dedicated to enhancing the health of patients, families and communities. This role offers the chance to work on a fast‑paced Med/Surg Post‑Operative unit (3 West) at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.

• Provide basic patient care under RN supervision in accordance with scope of practice.
• Assist patients with emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Greet patients and visitors; answer, screen, and route phone calls.
• Call codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Help keep unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.

• State of Maine Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and with direction, communicating effectively in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Comfortable using a computer (preferred).

36 hours per week on the 7p‑7a night shift with rotating weekend and holiday requirements; three 12‑hour shifts per week.
