RoleCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Provides patient care under the supervision of an RN, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
OpportunityThis position is a 36‑hour‑per‑week night shift (3×12‑hour shifts per week) on the Acute Care Med/Surg floors at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.
Responsibilities- Perform basic patient care activities within scope of practice.
- Assist patients with emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
- Greet patients and visitors.
- Answer, screen, and route telephone calls.
- Call codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
- Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Assist with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Valid CNA certificate from the State of Maine.
