Job Summary
Maine General Health is a comprehensive non‑profit system dedicated to enhancing the health of patients, families, and the community. We are seeking a Med/Surg Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our 3 West Med/Surg Post‑Operative unit at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.
Employment Details• 36 hours per week on a day shift (7a.m. – 7p.m.) with rotating weekend and holiday duties
• Three 12‑hour shifts per week

- Provide basic patient care under RN supervision in accordance with scope of practice and organizational standards.
- Assist patients with emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
- Greet patients and visitors.
- Answer, screen, and route telephone calls.
- Call codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
- Report abnormal findings or changes in patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Help maintain cleanliness, organization and restock unit and patient rooms.
- Maine Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- (Preferred) Comfortable using a computer.
