Maine General Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Home Health Hospice for a nursing job in Manchester, Maine.

As a member of our hospice nursing team, you will provide compassionate end-of-life care to patients and families through the dying process and ensure a peaceful and dignified transition.

Compensation and Availability

Sign-on: $20,000 bonus potential for experienced Nurses. Available to RNs with at least one year of nursing experience. Must commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week

What Youll Do

  • Consult with the multidisciplinary team regularly to evaluate the patient status and appropriate care needs, including admission, length of stay, transfer, and discharge.
  • Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, including referrals for additional services and community resources.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and resource use. Monitor and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary planning to determine care needs and service requirements.

Your Qualifications

  • Current Maine RN license or compact state license is required
  • One year of nursing experience preferred
  • Valid state driverp license with acceptable driving record
  • Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong technology/computer skills; EMR experience preferred
