This Registered Nurse
- Specialty Care (Pulmonary) position is located in Specialty Care Service located within the outpatient clinic at the Togus location. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal specialty care.
  • Focus is on individual growth and development in practice with increased levels of self-direction.
  • Provides patient care, care coordination, health promotion, health education and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management.
  • Ability to formulate a plan of care based on nursing assessments and Veteran goals of care.
  • Seeks guidance on how to improve care provided to patients and families.
  • Delegates elements of care to the appropriate individual based upon assessed needs, condition, and safety of the patient.
  • Demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic, specialty care through collaborative strategies with others.
  • Fosters a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals.
  • Contributes professional nursing perspective in discussions with the interdisciplinary team.

Work Schedule:

Full-Time, Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
